Why are they so addicting? I am now on my 3rd drama, and even though they go up to 60 episodes I stay up late to watch them. The details, storylines and cinematographies are out of this world, the actors are mostly good too. In Kdramas I cannot even go past 20 eps. I hate to say I’m starting to appreciate a little more of China.. š
Bench/ has announced that Dylan Wang is their newest foreign ambassador back in December. It was no-brainer that Bench/ will get him, following the other Dao Ming Sis before him that the local brand also brought here, Jerry Yan of Taiwan and Lee Min Ho of Korea.
Wise move, Bench! I’ve been hoarding your products since then – the shirts, pants and sweaters I wear now are mostly Bench/, believe it or not. Even my soaps are from your organic line. This marketing is truly effective for a fangirl like me! And while we’re at it, let me say that Bench/ hunting with Didi on it has since been a favorite past time of mine. š¤©š¤©š¤©

I’m so ready for you!
After dealing with a very stressful year – pregnancy, childbirth, taking care of a newborn and breastfeeding again what?! PLUS dealing with a growing, almost as bratty as me preschooler, I’m absolutely done with 2018!
I’m probably the most blessed person the last year, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude, but — I’m so ready to move forward with my life and catch up on my travels! So here’s to making more memories this new year! š„
… boy, a thousand feelings! š

Haven’t fangirled for a while, until Dylan Wang! What a handsome young boy ā¤ļø

Honestly, my husband and I were not trying too long for a child. We were only trying for 1 whole year. The moment I learned that I have Adenomyosis and Adenomyoma, and how it affects fertility, I really wanted to have another child again. But that year we have pending long haul travels, so I put it on hold, and just thought we have a lot of time in our hands to make a baby afterwards.
After 6 months of trying with no luck, I got paranoid and thought of ways so we could conceive. The adeno pain was too unbearable monthly, and upon my research I learned that the pain goes away while pregnant! But since I wasn’t getting pregnant, I contemplated if I should just do the pills, which of course, won’t make me pregnant at all. It was such a dilemma because of the adeno pain, it was getting the better of me.
The forums on the internet did not help either. I planned on conceiving last year, but it did not happen, and thought this year to really focus. So instead of moping and becoming depressed, I helped myself to become more fertile so I could conceive eventually.
1. Pregnitude – fertility drink. I did not finish the box since I noticed that my ovulation and menstruation got delayed and crazy for 3 months.
2. Pre-natal Vitamins – yes, I think this helped me conceived, been taking the gummy ones I got from the US for about 4 months before getting pregnant.
3. Pre-seed Lubricant – although hubby did not like this, we still use this because it helps the sperm cells travel to the eggs faster.
4. Self Fertility Massage – I think I’ve been doing this for the past 6 months before getting pregnant, every morning before my ovulation period starts. It has been very helpful in my conceiving.
5. Castor Oil and Hot Pack – they said castor oil works wonders as it cleanses dead cells and old blood. I put this on my abdomen periodically, sometimes along with the self fertility massage.
6. Ovulation App – I was tracking my ovulation for 1 whole year through different apps.
7. Brisk walking for 20 minutes every morning – okay, I’m not really an active person. I’m the kind who eats what I like, and doesn’t exercise. So this is kinda a big deal for me, helping my body even in the smallest way possible.
8. Ovulation Kit – this was actually my last resort. Even though I was tracking my ovulation manually and with apps, we could not get the proper timing. Just 1 month of tracking my ovulation, Yes! I got pregnant.
I could not believe it at first. I was having the worst pain in my back and abdomen and thought that the period is coming. But it didn’t. 2 pregnancy tests later and an ultrasound, confirmed my pregnancy.
My OB said I was lucky because of my condition. A lot of prayers and faith helped too.
As of this writing, my baby boy is kicking and will be turning 26 weeks in my tummy. From the last utrasound I asked the sonographer if she can still see my adenomyoma. She said she cannot anymore. Oh God! It was like shooting 2 birds with a stone! I have a baby and my adenomyoma is gone (for now).
I know its too much to ask, but I hope the adeno will be gone forever. It has not caused me any problems since, and I honestly appreciated this pregnancy more since having the disease. I fervently pray that my son will be born healthy and safe, including myself, so I can take care of him and my first born Sophie for a very, very long time. ā¤ļø
Fact : I have posterior adenomyosis and 2cm adenomyoma diagnosed in April 2016. Upon my routine ultrasound in November 2017, the adenomyoma is almost 5cm.
Late Post: Sophie’s JK Recognition was on May 10, 2018

I just want to celebrate Sophie’s another milestone, she has just completed Junior Kinder! So proud of my babygirl! It was amazing how she has improved and has accomplished so much in just a year. And how it went by so fast, just like that. š
The award she received, more than anything, was probably the best kind of reward for a parent: The Good Citizen Award – it means she follows rules and shows respect to others at all times. Congratulations my love! š Off to Senior Kinder we go!

See you soon, my son ā„ļø
I know I’ve been slacking again on this journal over the past months. But I’ve been really busy. I’ve been travelling all over, attend to work, and take care of, send and fetch, and tutor my child since I’m yaya-less since August. I’m not at all complaining, I’ve been given a very abundant life, and though there were drawbacks too,Ā my life is not all bed of rosesĀ I am very eternally thankful for everything.
I mentioned I’ve been travelling all over, almost every month, for leisure and with my family, fortunately. And for this post I would like to share some of my favorite photos from each of my travel this year, 2017. The purpose is personal and not to brag, but to humble myself and count all my blessings. I wish I could post these monthly as soon as they happen, but oh well, maybe I could just post my photo travels again in annual basis in the future.
January
Hongkong SAR
For this trip the 3 of us went with Roxy and Gerry (hubs’ cousin). It was our first time staying in Causeway Bay area, where we did Ikea shooping and just basically food trip the whole 3 days.

Hotel:
February
Osaka, Japan
Oh, I love this trip! We’ve been to Osaka several times, but this is probably the most laidback. We stayed in Dotonbori area unlike our usual Swissotel Nankai and this meant a looot of food tripping! Weather was really nice and not too cold. Did a USJ daytrip and Sophie enjoyed it too.

Hotel:
March
London, UK
We went with hubs’ family, and London is as gorgeous as the first time. It was his family’s first time here, so we went with the usual tours. It was also a perfect twinning moment for Sophie and I with Big Ben, since she was sleeping the last time we went in 2015, and haven’t got a decent shot. I just wished we were able to see a musical play in this trip. Looking forward to another London trip next year, crossing my fingers!

Hotels:
Scotland, UK
It was our first time in Scotland, and I wasn’t too prepared for the cold! The tourist spots were far, but it has gorgeous landscapes everywhere.

Hotel:
Ā Premier Inn Princes Street Edinburgh
Hongkong, SAR
Almost immediately after we returned from UK, we jetsetted off to HK again! It was hubs’ birthday, and the little one wanted to spend it in Disneyland. And my in-laws wanted to go shopping, so its a win-win trip for all of us!

Hotels:
Cebu, Ph
Yearly since 2010, I make it a point for my own family to travel, be it foreign or local. My parents are getting old, and I want them to go see places while they still can. This year we went to Cebu. The last time we were here I was only about 6 years old, and they were not able to tour around. It was a nice bonding trip with their grandchild. Our last day was Tatay’s birthday, so this trip was also a treat for him.

Hotel:
Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan Cebu
April
Jeju, Korea
We had a guided tour from our travel partner who arranged the whole trip. Jeju was a complete opposite of Seoul, very laidback and had few interesting places to see, but all equally beautiful in their own ways.

Baguio, Ph
We go up to Baguio every now and then to chill, have a massage at North Haven and buy tasty breads from The Manor. And thats exactly what we did. And yeah, we also “break-in” the 2 Porsches.

Hotel:
May
Anvaya Cove, Ph
I think we missed Anvaya Cove, hence the trip. Since my in-laws are lot owners and members of this exclusive resort, we can drop by anytime we needed a little getaway from Manila.

Hotel:
Amanpulo, Ph
WOW. When I was younger, it was my absolute dream to go here. And that dream was realized this year. What a beautiful island! No wonder not anyone can go here. Exclusivity sure comes with a hefty tag but, it was definitely worth every cent.

Hotel:
Sepang, Malaysia
I mentioned before that my hubs and his sister bought their Porsche Macans, and were invited to Porsche Driving Experience in Sepang. It was a whole day driving and racing experience for them, learning how to use their cars to their maximum potential. While I, on the other hand, lounged at the trackside and had outlet shopping while waiting for them. Win-win trip!

Hotel:
August
Hongkong, SAR
We took a break from travelling by June and July, as the little one started her school. Come August, we’re on a roll again! It was my birthday month, and I’d like to treat the little girl again to her favorite, Disneyland. It was also our first time checking in to the Disney Explorers Hotel, the newest hotel there.

Hotel:
September
Guam, USA
We spent our anniversary here this year! This was our first time and had the lowest expectation for this trip. But looking back, I miss Guam. We stayed for 4 full days, waking up late, swim, shop, drive around and just food trip all the way. It was so laid back I wanna do it all over again.

Hotel:
October
California, USA
I’ve been looking forward to this trip! We toured San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and a sidetrip to Grand Canyon in Arizona and San Diego. We were able to spend time again with our Ninong Noel, who lives in SFO. It was our first time in Vegas and hubs drove going to and from LA. Sophie also spent her 4th birthday while touring.

Hotels:
SFO –Ā The Wharf Inn
LA –Ā Residence Inn Beverly Hills
Las Vegas –Ā Bellagio
November
Tokyo, Japan
We wanted to make the most of Sophie’s mid year break, but we’re on a budget, so we gathered all our miles for this Tokyo trip. We stayed in a budget hotel in Shibuya. We just stayed a lot in Shibuya area and food trip a bit there and in Tsukiji market. On our last night we stayed in Disneyland and spent the day in Disney Sea.

Hotels:
December
Singapore
Okay. So this overnight trip is totally unplanned. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to spend anymore since I’m basicaly broke but we only need a few thousand miles and we’re Elite members already. Weighing the benefits of Elite member for a whole year versus our overnight expenses, plus I imagined Sophie swimming in MBS infinity pool, we then went for it.
